OCNA Board Meeting

January 15, 2007

Present: Valerie Androutsopoulas, Joan Plisko, Ellen McCoy, Dan Prendergast, Cathy Sidlowski,

Kirby Spencer, Mabelle Thomas, Cheryl Wasmund

Meeting began at 7:45

Minutes were reviewed and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report: Robert was not able to attend; Kirby presented brief report. Currently have $2,708 in treasury.

Energy Co-Op Purchase: Joan presented information on Clean Currents, a company which provides green energy electricity. Discussed trying to get about 100 homes involved, can set limit on time and maximum amount purchased. Will have board meeting with owner of Green Energy speaking; then have general meeting in early March (1^st or 13^th). Kirby will check with library to see if space available (alternate location will be Hillcrest Elementary School). Joan will be in contact with owner of company; Kirby will make a flyer. Future Events: Yard sale Saturday, April 21

Clean Up April 28 or May 5- Valerie will make calls to see which date is available.

Newsletter: Cathy reports it is going well; more people are contributing. Next newsletter is mid March- will advertise Yard Sale and Clean Up.

Police Contact: Cheryl will contact Officer Bury about attending meetings.

Chamber Involvement: No action.

Cathy brought up getting a Discover Corporate Card to get rebates/save money. She will look into it.
