Minutes, Board of Directors Meeting

The following were present:

Robert Croom

Kirby Spencer

The following items were discussed:

1. Minutes approved

2. Treasurer’s Report. Robert presented the report and summarized accounts.

3. Picnic:

Food: Kirby suggested we discuss pros and cons. Last year, not enough food. We could find another vendor or do food ourselves. Last year, food was only problem. Cathy and Kirby filled in the holes.

Games: A moon bounce was discussed, along with other games and more people helping.

Other: A “man/woman the grill” sign up needed and front table coverage and possibly a microphone.

4. Newsletter: Cathy reported that we need someone to take on ads for newsletter. Suggested that we post an ad in the newsletter for it. Kirby will do a “letter from President” encouraging new participants and encouraging people to put their name forward for board positions. Larry will write a short write up for newsletter regarding energy event.

5 Nominating Committee: Nominations will be for existing officers unless we get nominations.

6. Annual Meeting: As a follow up to energy event, neighborhood community sustainability topic was discussed. A presentation or vendor presentation was discussed as possibilities.

7. New Business: Larry suggested that the OCNA pursue obtaining a KILL-O-WATT tool. Also the idea of a tool co-op was discussed. Other items to conserve energy could be purchased and shared by community.

8. Welcome Committee: Block reps will continue to notify Cheryl Wasmund of new neighbors.
