July 13                   Wasmund home (2nd  Thursday; 1st Thursday is after a holiday)

A discussion about the spring clean up was held.  It was decided to get three trash dumpsters for trash, 1 for metal and 1 for yard waste as well as the chipper.  A flyer will be sent out with rules for dumping (no excess construction debris, etc.) and traffic flow on Summit will be controlled to prevent problems.

Robert presented the financial statement: there is $2,600 in the treasury.  Report was accepted

Cathy got changes for representatives on blocks to put in the newsletter.  The question of how often the newsletter was published was answered: 4 times a year.

There was a comment about doing a fund raiser using zip code, which was discussed a little but with no decisions being made.

Joan reviewed continuing problem of speeding on Beechwood Avenue.  There seems to be more speeding at certain hours, and doesn’t occur when cars are parked in the evenings.  Joan continues to work on this.

Kevin brought up the poor looks of village.  A discussion followed on ways to approach the Chamber of Commerce to offer suggestions for improving.  It was decided to try to get other community associations in 21228 together to encourage greater support and a show of numbers and then approach both the Chamber and the County with suggestions and requests for help in fixing up our main street.

Meeting adjourned at 9:15 P. M.

Respectfully submitted by Cheryl Wasmund
