Short Description of Collection

This collection of primarily black and white photographic prints was created by the Creative Services department through the 1970s and 1980s. The breadth of the topics includes UMBC faculty, staff, students, key events, and buildings and grounds.

Scope and Content Note

Creative Services, the design department within Institutional Advancement, produces and collects images of campus life for use in internal and external marketing and promotion. This collection represents their subject file for photographic prints. The materials have been refoldered but original folder titles have been used; the collection has been arranged at the folder level to improve access. Although some color prints are included, the collection is primarily black and white photographic prints dating from the 1970s and 1980s. These prints are currently being scanned by Special Collections staff and will later be made available through UMBC's Digital Collections.
