Albin O. Kuhn papers- Biographical Note

Dr. Albin O. Kuhn's administrative experience ranged from the School of Agriculture at the University of Maryland College Park to the creation of the University of Maryland Baltimore County to the renovation of the University of Maryland at Baltimore professional schools. Dr. Kuhn worked with the Middle States Association for accreditation of colleges and universities as well as the University Health Center Administrators Association. Dr. Kuhn served as the administrative head of the UMAB professional schools - including Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work and Community Planning. Dr. Kuhn was Chancellor (now called President) at UMBC from its planning stages in 1963 until Calvin Lee replaced him as Chancellor in August of 1971, thus allowing Kuhn to become full time Chancellor of the UMAB campus.
