Short Description of Collection

This collection of records of the American Association of Immunologists documents the Association's activities primarily from 1941 - 1992. The correspondence, reports, minutes, ledgers, journals, newsletters, programs, directories and audio visual materials provide a sketchy view of the organization from the 1940's to the 1960's with a more complete history thereafter. Personal histories, including articles, reports, correspondence and photographs are present for all the Presidents and provide nearly the only information available for the early years of the Association. The collection is arranged into eight series: Council, Meetings, Committees, Financial, Historian Publications, Affiliated Societies, and Video and Audio Materials.
