You can track views and downloads of your research. Depositing research in ScholarWorks@UMBC can help you satisfy data management and sharing requirements from the NSF, NIH, and other funding agencies.
Faculty, Emeritus faculty, classified and professional staff may submit scholarly work and all may submit works produced before they were appointed to their position at UMBC. Students may submit work, but must have a faculty sponsor to approve the materials submitted. All materials submitted should be scholarly in nature, whether research or creative works. The submission of human research subject raw materials and data, including oral histories, should be discussed in advance with the IRB and done in accordance with the guidelines that they provide. The submission of sponsored work should be done within the funding agencies guidelines.
All UMBC Departments may have their own page in ScholarWorks@UMBC. Those departments which already have materials in ScholarWorks@UMBC have pages set up. If your department doesn’t have a page set up yet, e-mail email@example.com to request one. ScholarWorks@UMBC is part of MD-SOAR, a collaborative shared repository utilized by eleven Maryland colleges and universities.
