Instruction Request Form
We ask two (2) weeks notice to prepare for your class.
Please check the instruction room calendar for available dates.Classes are generally scheduled in Library Room 259, a dedicated instruction classroom equipped with a data projector and 28 terminals for active learning. Should the instruction room be unavailable, you may request an instruction session in your regularly assigned classroom or lab. Please contact AV Services (5-2461) if your room is not equipped with a computer, data projector and internet access. Alternatively, you may request and schedule a campus computer lab for your instruction session.
Library Instruction
and Information Literacy are programs strongly advocated by the Library, faculty
and campus administration. Library instruction at UMBC is provided by the library faculty of the Albin O. Kuhn Library & Gallery. Our mission is to teach students how to:
- identify and find information using print and electronic resources
- evaluate information that is found
- cite material that is used
- avoid plagiarism and uphold the University's policy on academic integrity
