LIBRARY MEDIA STUDENT ASSISTANT
Purpose: Responsible for the installation and the on-going maintenance and repair of the various recording and listening equipment throughout the Library Media area as well as the recording of new materials, student requests, replacements, etc.
Reports to: Media Staff
Duties include:
- Installation, repair and maintenance of Library Media equipment for recording, viewing or listening.
- Recording of audio ro video material as required.
- Implement Library Media Opening and Closing Procedures.
- Assist patrons at service desk.
- File and Shelve Materials.
- Shelf read Archive Record Collection.
- Search the bi-weekly lost list.
- Implement the Billboard Project.
- Implement the Discography Project.
- Weekly cleaning of the Listening area and Recording Room equipment.
- Other assignments as assigned.
- Knowledge of video/electronic equipment repairs (video/electronic course(s) are preferred).
- General knowledge of recording room equipment and how it operates.
- General knowledge of music types (classical, etc.) is very helpful.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Ability to install equipment.
- Ongoing knowledge of Audio/Video equipment available in the marketplace.
Pay Scale: Entry level
